Every night, my husband would cry himself to sleep. I didn't understand why, and I couldn't help him. I tried talking to him, but he would just shut down. I tried to be patient, but it was getting harder and harder to watch him suffer.

One night, I couldn't take it anymore. I woke him up and demanded to know what was wrong. He finally broke down and told me everything.

He had been having an affair.

I was devastated. I couldn't believe that he would do this to me. I loved him with all my heart, and I thought he felt the same way about me.

But apparently, I was wrong.

He told me that he had been unhappy in our marriage for a long time. He said that he had tried to talk to me about it, but I had always brushed him off. He said that he felt like I didn't care about him anymore.

I was so angry and hurt. I couldn't believe that he would say such things. I had always been there for him. I had always loved him.

But apparently, it wasn't enough.

He said that he was sorry. He said that he didn't want to hurt me. He said that he still loved me.

But I didn't believe him.

I couldn't believe that he could love me and still do this to me.

I told him to leave.

He left that night, and I haven't seen him since.

I'm still trying to pick up the pieces of my life. I'm trying to move on, but it's hard. I can't stop thinking about him. I can't stop wondering why he did this to me.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive him.

But I do know one thing: I'll never be the same again.
